After his retirement from international cricket, he has started his career again on the paramount in the field of helping underprivileged people. In an event organized by Pakistan Association of Dubai, Shahid Afridi Foundation under its “Own a Brick” programme took the initiative to build its social centre.

Lala accompanied by Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Irfan, Shan Masood, and Imad Azam attended the event and told in a statement that Pakistan Social Centre is for all nationalities and not just for Pakistanis who are welcome to use its facilities. He thanked all the people who made it easier. he also said that his foundation will also support those children who dreamt of achieving something.
Shahid Afridi Foundation is serving not only the Muslims but a large number of Hindu and Sikh communities in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces of Pakistan.

The top and foremost priority is to serve humanity at Shahid Afridi Foundation.

Shahid Afridi participated in the third round for the development of the social centre in Dubai. World’s largest community centre for overseas Pakistanis, Pakistan Social Centre, will have a not-for-profit Pakistan Medical Centre, a proper rehab/fitness facility, business incubation centre, designed seminar rooms, theme restaurant, and sport café, along with many other facilities. This Dh15-million project has been divided into 15,000 bricks. Each brick has a value of Dh1, 000 and a junior brick is valued at Dh100. Against each brick there entitles a 10-year membership, where a junior brick entitles the donator a two-year membership.
