Apple users have to wait a little more for AI features

Delayed beyond expectations, Apple Intelligence, the company’s most-anticipated AI tool is expected to be released at a later date. As per Bloomberg in an intelligence report, they will be out after the introduction of the new iOS 18 for iPhones and iPads.

According to Bloomberg, specific to it, Apple will launch Apple Intelligence via a series of software updates in October this year, which is one or two weeks after the debut of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 in September this year. More Apple Intelligence updates are planned for late 2024 through to early 2025.

Apple, though, plans to issue Apple Intelligence to software developers this week together with the beta versions of iOS and iPadOS 18.1.

Fears for the reliability of Apple Intelligence features has begotten the company to postpone the release of the service from the launch of the new iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 operating systems.

While collectively known as Apple Intelligence, one can find the AI integrated into almost all parts of iOS 18 and the iPhone 16 series. It improves different operations such as Siri, built-in iOS applications like web Safari Mail, photo manipulation, instant text and image creation, writing correction and many others.

Here’s how Apple plans to integrate AI features in its devices:

Apple initially revealed the Apple Intelligence concept at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June this year as key new features to iPhones and iPads. T he delaying of Apple Intelligence comes after three new AI features that the company had planned to release had been halted due to new EU laws. These regulations demand that company’s Devices must be compliant with rival goods and services.
