Apply Now for $1 Million Content Creator Award by 1 Billion Followers Summit

As part of the upcoming 1 Billion Followers Summit, the Dubai government announced a $1 million Content Creator Award for content creators globally. The “One Billion Award” focuses on the best content that will influence society and reflects the values of unity, compassion, and sustainability. Applications are open until November 30, 2024. The winner will be announced in the summit’s closing ceremony in January 2025.

In what’s bound to be a magnum opus in social media promotion, the “1 Billion Followers Summit” will take place from January 11 to 13, 2025. Hosted by Dubai’s New Media Academy under the theme “Content for Good,” this will provide leading social media influencers, content creators, and subject matter experts opportunities to discuss how new media can become an agent of positive societal development and promote sustainable economic growth worldwide.

As Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, stated, “This award is a platform for the voice of giving, compassion, and communication without borders. It reflects the power of content in driving positive change for future prosperity.”

One Billion Award applicants are asked to provide details of their content and explain why it serves various purposes, such as scientific, cultural, and humanitarian value and social importance. Anyone can nominate third parties for content creators who show social good.

This will be a judging phase where entries will be evaluated by judges from December 1 to 15. The selection of winners will then be made based on public polls conducted from December 16 to 31. The winner will then be announced on the judges’ evaluation and the public vote.

As part of its vision to eventually achieve more than a billion followers worldwide, the 1 Billion Followers Summit also launches specialized tracks in technology, economy, and content to share insights and accelerate professional exchange for amateur and professional creators alike.
