After stopping operations on April 1 due to regulatory gaming regulations, the Big Ticket prize draw will again resume. The next live draw, according to the raffle operator based in Abu Dhabi, is scheduled on June 3.
Up until May 31st, tickets for the $2.72 million (AED 10 million) prize can be purchased.
In accordance with gaming rules, Big Ticket is one of the fortunate draw suppliers in the United Arab Emirates that temporarily halted operations. On April 3, the company halted sales and held a live draw to distribute all of its rewards, which included two automobiles and $2.72 million (AED 10 million).
The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), established by the UAE last year, aims to establish a framework for what experts consider to be a billion-dollar industry. On January 1, 2024, popular lottery games across the UAE were suspended, including Mahzooz and Emirates Draw as regulations were being developed. Some other operators including Dubai Duty Free and Big Ticket continued to operate, with the latter pausing in April before resuming Thursday.
Big Ticket was established in 1992 at the Abu Dhabi International Airport and offers chances to win money or luxury automobiles.
It is common for many expats to form groups ranging from 4 to 40 people to pool their money and buy tickets together. Throughout the month of May, anyone who purchases tickets for the upcoming Big Ticket draw will have the chance to win a guaranteed amount of Dh10 million. Customers who purchase two tickets will get one for free.
“We know Big Ticket is a program that has been part of the lives of members of the UAE community for years, and the resumption of our operations reflects our commitment to delivering a seamless and enjoyable experience coupled with enhanced operations for all participants,” Big Ticket told the media.
