The total distance covered will be 30 kilometers and will lie 15.5 kilometers underground and 14.5 kilometers above.14 designed stations will provide connections through Ras Al Khor Industrial Area, Al Warqaa, Mirdif, Dubai Creek Harbour, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Academic City, and Dubai International City, ensuring that its wide footprint reaches the major commercial, educational, and residential destinations to residents.

Speed

The Blue Line is built to work well at high speed. At the top, the blue line has a maximum operating speed of 110 kilometres per hour or 68 mph. Thus, such speed will also hasten the rapid transit in town making the daily commuters even swifter and easier.

Number of Passengers

By 2030, the Blue Line is expected to carry about 200,000 passengers per day with an estimated 320,000 by 2040. The line will be designed to carry up to 56,000 passengers per hour in both directions, which will be a tremendous upgrade in efficiency for the city’s public transport.
