Cadillac officially unveiled its new XT6 crossover with three rows of all-new seats with three rows of seats at the Detroit Auto Show. The car comes at an important time for both General Motors and Cadillac in general, especially as demand for larger-sized Crossover cars is growing, a category that Cadillac has never competed in before.
A car like the ESV Scaled does not appeal to most people who want to buy the Crossover but the XT6 offers more options in the luxury crossover category with a more modern design. The car is based on an extended version of the same construction base as the XT5 models, with Cadillac emphasizing that every part of the new car has been well studied and developed to the best level to make the car more comfortable and provide driving pleasure.
The new XT6 carries a 3.6-liter V6 engine with a 310 horsepower, a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system in premium Luxury and Sport premium versions. In terms of design, premium luxury versions have distinctive wooden additions while the Sports versions carry carbon fiber inks, both standard with 20-inch wheels and 21-inch wheels available in Sport only. Each car has LED lighting.
Optional equipment in the car includes adaptable cruise control, night vision system, an HD surround camera, and an electric rear door. Standard driver assistance includes an HD rear camera, front-impact warning, emergency brakes, lane change assistor, backlight warning, and speed limit.
The car has an 8-inch color touch screen that was first introduced in the XT4. The car also has a Wi-Fi Hotspot 4G LTE, Apple Play android Auto, 6 USB ports and a wireless charger for mobile phones.
