Recently, Ras Al Khaimah Police introduced the Flycatcher 30 which is loaded to carry up to 40 kilograms of equipment.
This instrument increases the effectiveness of the authority’s activity in providing prompt and efficient humanitarian assistance in emergency situations, accidents, and other events.
Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi emphasized the swift operation capability of the flying machine. The Flycatcher 30 will help the police of the emirate to reach some otherwise hard-to-access areas and guarantee that the required supplies get to the most important locations in the shortest time.
The drone has an ‘automatic winch’ system that has the capacity to deliver important resources such as first aid equipment to the mountainous and marine areas. Its design is useful in the event of major accidents and natural disasters as the appropriate reaction is organized quickly and efficiently.
In addition, the Flycatcher 30 can also be used for news gathering; it also has the capacity to transport professional TV cameras that relay live pictures and events to command posts. These two modes are very useful in enhancing awareness during emergencies as the equipment will be serving a dual role.
Several drones have been deployed in the security forces in UAE with the view of improving security. Dubai residents first saw the drones flying in the skies of the city in July when Dubai police said they had joined the use of drones to improve quick and effective response to incidents.
With this, the authority performs functions such as enhancing time for accessing the accident sites, cutting on traffic congestion and criminal retaliation time coupled with the provision of information to the command center.
These advanced systems compromised the ‘Drone Box’ and the devices can be distinguished with blue markings in their appearance.
