Dubai will be witnessing some of the world’s most coveted items go under the hammer during an exclusive auction that includes a rare Mercedes-Benz G 63 once owned by the Dubai royal family and a bespoke 2014 Pagani Zonda 760 LM Roadster, estimated to sell for over Dh44 million. The second RM Sotheby’s Dubai auction, taking place behind closed doors at the Emirates Golf Club on 1 December, will draw in collectors who want a taste of prestige automobiles and luxurious goodies.
The 2014 Pagani Zonda 760 LM Roadster is designed by celebrated carmaker Horacio Pagani. Carrying clear-lacquered bare carbon bodywork, the Zonda road cars have managed to pave their way to be among only 140 in existence. This could well be the greatest supercar that has ever been produced, especially since 2024 marks the 25th year of the Zonda. Also listed is a Pagani Huayra BC Coupé from 2017. This is a very track-focused vehicle, driven by a six-liter V-12 engine taken from AMG that generates 827 horsepower. It should sell for more than Dh16 million.
Apart from the cars, the evening will feature an exclusive watch collection. Standout items include a Rolex Daytona ‘Paul Newman’ that is valued at Dh1.46 million. Another hot lot features a 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé designed by F1 legend Adrian Newey. The motor is powered by a Cosworth V-12 engine assisted by an electric motor to achieve 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. It’s estimated at Dh11 million.
Other cars up for auction include a 2017 Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 Roadster, the limited-edition McLaren, Ferraris, and the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet, one of only 99 ever built. Participants have to register in advance to join the event.
