Dubai Buses to get a Major Upgrade with WIFI, USB Ports, Footrest and Cup holders

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has purchased 79 double-decker buses which will provide service in urban areas. The buses have a capacity to accommodate 100 passengers and will offer free internet service and USB portals for charging devices.

UAE’s inter-city bus service has also been upgraded. The RTA has purchased 40 deluxe Volvo coaches which accommodates 55 passengers. The coaches have Euro 6 power efficient engines with low carbon emissions. They will provide free internet service, USB ports for charging devices, footrest and cup holders. These coaches will offer luxury travel to the passengers.

Not just that, the authority has also introduced 94 medium-sized Optare buses. These buses will accommodate 33 passengers and cater to new communities and other areas where large buses are not easily accessible.
