Dubai residents now have a new convenient and confidential channel to report economic crimes and violations, as the emirate rolled out its portal on the Dubai Now platform. According to a statement issued on Thursday, the new service was announced in order to strengthen community participation in safeguarding the emirate’s security and economy.
This project allows individuals to easily report multiple forms of economic crimes to help in the process that the government of Dubai has put in place in order to become more transparent and act against illegal practices. The Dubai Now site is a one-stop service for the government, where it continues to add services to help all residents make life easier for themselves by dealing with the government through this one-stop shop.
The Dubai Land Department (DLD) also announced three important real estate services offered through the platform, aside from the reporting of economic crimes. Those include the Property Status Inquiry, which provides users with all available information about properties; Ownership Certificate Requests that fetch for them details of properties owned; and a Property Valuation Request that makes property appraisal easier and speeds up procedures linked to it.
Also, last month, Digital Dubai launched “Madinati,” the service that enables residents and visitors to file infrastructure complaints regarding broken roads or fallen trees simply by taking a photograph and submitting through the Dubai Now app. These services are part of Dubai’s continued efforts toward digitization in government processes and public services, leading to a more connected and efficient city for its residents.
The new additions only make Dubai Now more of a one-stop shop for all of its residents, who can now reap the benefits of most public services, all from one convenient and accessible platform.
