Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai Government Media Office, said that the festival comes at a time when Dubai is today a model for the world’s cities which give creativity a great deal of attention. Creators have the highest levels of hospitality and encouragement, and the most influential in its development, which we are trying to express, through a series of initiatives and specific projects, in collaboration with the departments and bodies and institutions of the Government of Dubai, and all those involved in supporting creativity in Dubai.
Brand Dubai celebrates creative contributions in a variety of ways, emphasizing Dubai’s status as a world of creativity and a destination for creative people from all over the world. The idea of the festival comes from our keenness to organize events that are closer to the public in the most dynamic locations of Dubai and to gather the largest number of people a day, which helps to spread this message as widely as possible among the members of Dubai’s distinguished community by its international nature.
During the selection of the participating artists, we have sought to be a show of high standards of excellence, and from different countries around the world, to provide an unprecedented experience in the region.
The festival, which is the first of its kind for the Dubai Metro audience, offers a variety of unique musical styles, which most Dubai residents and visitors have never seen before. They are rarely combined in a single event, traditional and western ones, such as piano and guitar, and oriental lute and folk instruments, as well as unique and unconventional musical instruments, most of which were created by the musicians themselves.
The musical styles presented by the artists participating in the event all over the course of a week reflect a unique state of musical creativity, inspired by ancient heritage and cultures, resulting from the innovative approach to musical music.
