Dubai RTA introduces 4 new metro link bus routes from August 30

 

The RTA in Dubai has introduced four new metro-link bus routes, according to a statement made by the Roads and Transport Authority on Monday.

Four new routes will be effective from 30th August, out of which two new routes will necessitate the discontinuation of Route 31 in place of two new paths namely, F39 and F40.

The other two routes will substitute for the F56 with F58 & F59. All those will be running with a frequency of 30 minutes.

The authority will also be enhancing service of several other routes with the intercity route on the same day. This change has been recommended to the passengers that they should consider when planning their trip.

Here is how the routes will operate:

  • The first new route is F39 which will start at the Etisalat Bus Station, proceed through Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1 before turning back.
  • The second new route f40 will start from Etisalat Bus Station and will go to Mirdif, Street 78 and return.
  • F58 Route will start from Al Khail Metro Station and run through the northern parts passing by the Dubai Internet City and back.
  • Route F59 will run from Dubai Internet City Metro Station travelling in the north direction towards Dubai Knowledge Village then back.

Other changes to routes

The RTA also declared other alterations on existing routes, for the purpose of making it easier for passengers to identify those routes most important to them and to provide better service coverage to passengers while making their route experience enjoyable. The changes are as below:

 

  1. The 21 shall be redeployed and renumbered into 21A AND 21B.

These are; Route 21A which begins from Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 and ends at Al Ghubaiba Bus Station.

On the other hand, Route 21B will follow the other route starting from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and terminate at Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1.

 

  1. The Route 61D will be linked with the Route 66.

 

  1. The Route 95 will be connected to the Route 95A.

This alteration will affect Route 95A only, enabling users of Route 95 to connect to Route X92. Additionally, the path of Route 95A will be adjusted to start from Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront, to Parco Hypermarket to cover the Jebel Ali Industrial Area.

 

  1. The path for Route 6 will be reduced to run from the Bus Stop at Oud Metha Metro Station to Dubai Healthcare City, due to the elimination of the sector from Al Ghubaiba Station to Oud Metha.

 

  1. Route 99 will be modified to cover JAFZA One.

 

  1. Route F31 will be modified to include new stops in The Greens.

 

  1. New stops will also be included in Al Furjan for Route F45.

 

  1. JAFZA One stop will be removed from Route F54.

 

  1. Intercity route E700 will be modified to start from Etisalat Bus Station instead of Union Bus Station to Fujairah.

 

  1. RTA’s Public Transport Agency will also enhance 35 bus routes to ensure timely arrivals, including Routes 6, 20B, 26, 36A, 36B, 50, 66, 83, 88, 95A, 96, 99, 320, C01, C09, C10, F03, F05, F07, F10, F18, F23, F23A, F24, F31, F45, F46, F47, F49, F53, F54, SM1, X02, X25, and X92.

 

These alterations aim to enhance the daily commuting experience for passengers, allowing them to efficiently reach their destinations across the city.
