In order to improve the journey for those traveling in Dubai, the RTA revealed the implementation of specialized bus services starting from Business Bay Metro Station. The RTA’s goal is to make it easier to reach important locations in the city by offering efficient and direct routes.
The recently introduced bus routes, starting from Exit 2 of Business Bay Metro Station, aim to directly link travelers with various key metro stations. The addition of these routes emphasizes RTA’s dedication to enhancing public transportation links and decreasing commuting times for everyday travelers.
Route 1: Connects Business Bay directly with ONPASSIVE Metro Station, offering a straightforward option for those heading towards this destination.
Route 2: provides a direct link from Business Bay to three key stations: Mall of the Emirates, Equiti, and Mashreq. This route caters to a significant number of passengers, facilitating access to major shopping and business districts.
Route 3: bridges Business Bay with Al Khail and Dubai Internet City stations, serving the needs of professionals and residents in these bustling areas.
The launch of these bus routes is a component of RTA’s overall plan to improve Dubai’s public transportation system. RTA aims to increase public transport usage and decrease traffic congestion by offering convenient transportation options from Business Bay, a key business and residential area in the city, ultimately promoting environmental sustainability.
In response to the increasing need for transportation in Business Bay, RTA has extended the ‘Bus on Demand’ service to the region. The app ‘Dubai Bus On Demand’ is used to access the service, which runs buses with a capacity of 14 passengers.
Bus drivers can use the app to talk to passengers and pick them up at the nearest possible location in Al Barsha, Al Nahda, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Business Bay.
