Dubai to Offer On-the-Go Refueling and Car Maintenance Services

To improve convenience, motorists in Dubai will introduce several refueling and car maintenance services at selected car park locations around the city. These services will include but are not limited to, on-the-go refueling, car washing, changing engine oil, inspection of tires, and checking of batteries, among other vehicle maintenance offerings.

This new initiative comes as a result of the signing of the partnership agreement under which Parkin PJSC, the public parking space operator in Dubai and ENOC (Emirates National Oil Company Group) entered. The contract was signed last Wednesday at the 10th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF). While the exact parking locations of the new service could not be disclosed, Parkin stated that the initiative is to enhance convenience for customers complemented by on-the-go essentials available at Zoom stores.

Through their partnership, the two companies will both be integrating their respective mobile applications and digital wallets, allowing consumers to easily book automotive services through either application. The smooth digital experience will include features such as service updates in real-time, booking management, and secure in-app payment options.

Besides facilitating the ease of motorists in Dubai, Parkin is looking at directions far beyond the Emirates. The company is discussing a major Saudi-based conglomerate about introducing similar parking services in Saudi Arabia with a focus on optimizing parking, addressing congestion, and ultimately facilitating a seamless experience for drivers through the use of advanced digital technologies and smart cam…

However, back home, Parkin is set to introduce new parking fees in March 2025. The new rates will now see premium parking being charged at Dh6 per hour during peak hours, 8 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 8 pm. The company will impose these charges in areas where demand is high like near metro stations and those near commercial zones. Its plans also include increased parking fees during major events such as exhibitions, concerts and festivals where there is expected to be an influx of demand.

This partnership between Parkin and ENOC is a major leap that would bring Dubai closer to that vision of fully integrating smart solutions into everyday urban services in effect offering a more accessible and efficient experience to citizens and visitors alike.
