Dubai’s RTA Declares New Metro Routines for Peak Hours

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is applying temporary crowd management measures to safeguard everyone’s security during peak hours on the Dubai Metro. This applies from 7:00 am to 9:30 am and 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm daily.

The RTA has asked Dubai Metro passengers to plan their journey ahead of time to avoid unexpected delays. They will put up signboards at stations and provide staff on-site to guide passengers.

“We apologize for any inconvenience and reassure you that our foremost concern is ensuring you reach your destinations,” the RTA added in its statement.

The RTA last week issued an advisory, urging commuters to “avoid using the Metro during peak hours” and plan their journeys according to the stations that are currently operational.

RTA issued these guidelines in line with their commitment to the safety and well-being of the passengers as well as the smooth functioning of the Dubai Metro system. By implementing crowd management protocols and providing clear communication to commuters, the RTA aims to mitigate disruptions and enhance the overall passenger experience during peak hours.
