Employees of the Emirates Group are in for a treat as the Emirates Group has now communicated that there will be a 4% increase in the employees’ salaries from July 1, 2024.
Aiming to bolster a more effective workforce and improve employee satisfaction, the Emirates Group has granted a 4 percent raise in its staff wages from July 1, 2024. In the internal letter to the company’s employees acquired by the media on June 30, 2024, the raise involves base pay, transport allowances, UAE allowances, and adjusting working hours for the flight crew.
The Emirates Group has also pledged an increase of subsistence and accommodation allowances by as much as fifteen percent. Other privileges are being received such as an increase in paid maternity leave from 60 to 90 days, an increase in the paid nursing breaks for new mothers from one to two hours daily, and an increase in paid paternity leave from five to 10 working days.
In addition, the Education support allowance shall also be raised by 10 percent effective from September 1, 2024.
Further information relating to the changes of the base pay for employees, as well as fixed allowances will be tendered in writing through contractual variation letters to be issued on the 22 nd of July in the year 2024.
In this regard, a number of new post-New Year employee focused programmes are being implemented, which have seen the Emirates Group recruit world-wide by ten per cent to reach 112,406. At the same time, the Group’s revenue grew by 15% and reached AED 137.3 billion (USD 37.4 billion) during the year, and ensuring a record level of cash as of the balance sheet date in the amount of AED 47.1 billion (USD 12.8 billion) with 11% higher year on year.
