Etihad Airways, the second largest airlines in the UAE has teamed up with an Emirati fashion brand ‘A Friend of Mine’ by Xpoze to launch an exclusive luxury loungewear line for the First Class passengers.
The loungewear was launched at The Lourve Abu Dhabi at a joint event which was headed by Moda Operandi, a luxury online retailer and founder of Lauren Santo Domingo.
Inspired by Emirati dress, the loungewear is simple yet elegant and free of unnecessary stitching and embellishments. The designers have designed all the pieces in earthy tones to ensure that it will complement people of all skin types.
The loungewear is made of anti-bacterial and hypoallergenic modal also it is crease-resistant and breathable. It can easily be matched with everyday accessories.
According to the Vice President Guest Experience and Delivery Etihad Airways, Linda Celestino, “The innovative and striking designs follow the same attention to detail and design principles held by Etihad. The creations are high quality, wearable on your flight for relaxing or sleeping, yet simple and stylish enough to be matched with other items of clothing for everyday wear.”
Fashion brand ‘A Friend of Mine’ by Xpoze was established by Rawdha Al Shaffar, Buthaina Al Marri and Fatma Al Muddhareb. In 2017, the brand won a competition by Etihad Airways to identify the best local talent to create the new designs.
