Sharjah is about to get a major beauty boost. This October, the city will host the very first Middle East Cosmetics Show — a fresh, much-anticipated event that’s all about the latest in beauty, skincare, and personal care trends. It’s happening at Expo Centre Sharjah from October 8 to 12, with full backing from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
The show is being positioned as a key event for the region’s beauty industry — not just another trade fair, but a space where trends will be set, products launched, and connections made.
The official launch ceremony took place this week at Expo Centre Sharjah, drawing in some big names. Among the attendees: H.E. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI; H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre; and H.E. Lee Beomchan, the South Korean Consul General in Dubai. Also spotted were senior Sharjah officials, media folks, and a handful of beauty insiders who are clearly excited for what’s coming.
So, what’s the show really about? It’s more than just booths and brand banners. The idea is to give industry pros — from product makers to distributors — a platform to connect with both potential buyers and everyday consumers. And yes, it’s open to the public. Think live makeup demos, skincare workshops, expert talks, and a lot of free samples and exclusive deals.
According to Al Owais, the Chamber’s support for this event is part of a bigger vision to make Sharjah a hub for specialized exhibitions — especially in fast-growing sectors like beauty and wellness. “We’re building a network of trade events that support industries with serious growth potential,” he said.
Meanwhile, CEO Al Midfa called the show a timely addition to the UAE’s booming cosmetics scene, saying this Middle East Cosmetics Show will serve as a launchpad for fresh talent, new products, and lasting business partnerships. He added that the cosmetics industry in the Gulf is growing fast — and this event is designed to match that pace.
And there’s more than just lipstick and lotions. The exhibition will cover over eight categories, including haircare, fragrances, organic products, men’s grooming, and even beauty tech. Expect to see both international giants and rising regional brands under one roof.
Whether you’re in the business or just love a good beauty haul, this new show is shaping up to be one of the region’s go-to events for anyone who wants to stay ahead of the trends.
