Dubai’s free zone operator TECOM Group has announced a new Go Freelance initiative which will cut registration fees to around Dhs7,500 a year and that’s a 70 per cent reduction from the previous package.
These license packages are available to freelancers within the media and education fields in Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Park free zones.
Residents who hold job visas need to obtain a no-objection certificate (NOC) from their employer or sponsor to apply for the permit.
The application can be made online and you’ll need to submit a CV, copies of your passport and visa, a bank reference letter, no objection certificate and a portfolio of relevant certificates to prove your credentials.
The categories include intelligent education consultant, management coach, lighting specialist, furniture designer, animation specialist and commercial market analyst, among others.
