Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and the “Ultimate Strong Man” announced yesterday that Dubai will be the incubator for the Ultimate Strong Man to prepare and qualify champions in Dubai.
This came during the meeting of the Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council Saeed Hareb, with the heroes of the world in the sports “Ultimate Strong Man”, namely: Hafthor Julius Bjornsson (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) world champion in sports “Ultimate Strong Man”, also a star of the series of series like Arrow and Games of Thrones, Serbian Irvan Katuna and athlete Larry Wells, in the presence of Nasser Aman Al Rahma, Assistant Secretary-General, and Khalid Al Awar, Director of Sports Events Management.

The center is the first of its kind in the region and includes innovative and intensive training programs to raise the level of athletes, develop their athletic potential and fitness, and their strength, to turn them into world champions in this type of sport.
“After the great success of organizing the first Middle East championship in the sport last year, we are delighted to be the new home of the world’s most powerful man,” said Saeed Hareb. The desire of specialists in this field is to establish an international center for training athletes from around the world, who want to practice this sport.
The launch of this center reinforces Dubai’s position as a world sports city and a center for meeting the world’s sports stars. After Dubai has become a city for sport and a city which promotes all kinds of sports, it is now a city of athletic championships. “We thank Mark Boyd and the team of Ultimate Strong Man for all the work they have done to make this possible, and we are confident that the coming days will witness the arrival of many champions from around the world to Dubai” said Saeed Hareb.
Mark Boyd, the founder of the center, said: “The launch of this center in Dubai is an important addition to the world strongest man championships. Dubai is the most suitable place to host this center because it is the leading city in the growth of the sports sector and has all the elements of success in sporting events, the aim of this center is to provide athletes with an opportunity to train and help them find the way to become the most powerful men, as they will be in an ideal training environment and will undergo a top-level training program by experts in this type of training”.
Ultimate Strong Man organized the world’s most powerful man’s championship in Dubai last year, during which the Dubai Sports Council crowned Iceland’s world champion Hafthor Julius Bjornsson as the world’s most powerful man at the end of the Dubai championship for the first time in the Middle East.
