UAE employees who are subscribed to the Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) insurance program will now notice a key change: the only renewal option available is for two years, as opposed to the previous annual renewal. This update is designed to minimize frequent renewal reminders and ensure continuous coverage. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to renew your ILOE subscription.
The Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) scheme provides financial cover for an employee if he loses his job not on his own accord, but because of reasons such as termination. For purposes of claim disbursement for the worker that is availed of this ILOE scheme, up to 60 percent of the claimant’s basic salary can be availed or can be claimed maximum for not exceeding three months in a single claim situation if there has been a premium payment of the worker for a minimum of 12 continuous months.
