Aaryan, a student of ninth grade at Delhi Public School in Nashik, India, began honing his skills when he was just six. Now, with a practice of two to three hours each day, Aaryan has become a two-time champion of the Mental Calculation World Cup (MCWC) and a six-time holder of the Guinness World Record. His love of numbers has brought him international glory, which he now boasts with several gold, silver, and bronze medals.
“My brain receives flashes of numbers,” is how Aaryan described his ability. He uses advanced techniques like the abacus method and rapid visualization to do calculations in a tiny fraction of a second. Aaryan speaks that he takes as much time with his peers as they take in the maths exams, where he has to show the steps.
His parents run businesses in India and have supported him throughout recognizing his talent early and urging him to take up his passion in mathematics. In the future, Aaryan wants to ignite young minds to take the interest in mathematics and inspire to promote mental calculation skills globally. “My aspiring fields of study considered are either mathematics or aerospace engineering,” he added.
Aaryan also remarked that he is really looking forward to coming to Guinness World Record events in Dubai and visiting places around the city like Burj Khalifa, as well as a desert safari. Truly, with outstanding feats, Aaryan has broken the frontiers of mental math and works as an inspiration point for challenging others to put themselves to the test in this field.
