The recently established IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi, the first campus of IIT Delhi set up outside India, has revealed its first-ever BTech programs. The first two programs are the BTech in Energy Engineering and the BTech in Computer Science.
Having an emphasis on sustainability, the curriculum of the BTech in Energy Engineering offers engineering verticals for those looking to specialize depending on their interests. It aims to meet the modern-day demands in energy production and supply.
Each program has 30 open seats for 60 students for the entire academic year. The admissions for the academic programs will be through two modes: CAET 2024 and Joint Admission and Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) 2024 and JEE–Advanced 2024.
These programs seek to prepare undergraduates for the big challenges in the energy sector, and future digital economy, and also for the development of software to support various fields such as analytics, cryptography, Information technology, and finance among others.
Application is available until the 3rd of June 2024, and the two programs will start in September 2024. The first undergraduate programs are to be introduced with the Master’s program in Energy Transition and Sustainability (ETS) which is to begin operation in January 2024.
The successful Btech applicants will join IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi where they will undergo a four-year program. The campus has adopted several research-focused departments with emphasis on sustainable energy, climate, computing, and data science. The BTech programs will be offered and taught by local faculty with support from full-time faculty from IIT Delhi.
