Bollywood star Swara Bhaskar has apologized to Muslims in India via her Twitter account after many of them suffered ill-treatment and blind intolerance from others during the country’s recent election.
“I would like to apologize to the Muslims in India because of the continuous offensive and the racist expressions that they are forced to hear in the election season, this is your country,” she said.

Swara concluded with a follow-up tweet stating, “And as a woman.. what can I say? We deal with the bullsh*t daily.”

And after Swara published this, the reactions to what she said varied. Some reacted in a positive way and agreed to ask her, while she came under harsh criticism and negative comments from other Twitter activists.
