Indian singer Prateek Kuhad to Perform in Dubai for the First Time

Gaining international success after the release of his debut album ‘In Tokens and Charms,’ in 2015, Prateek Kuhad is dubbed as the “Best indie singer-songwriter” in India is all set to perform for the first time in Dubai.

Over the past year, Prateek has been touring around the world reaching out to diverse audiences. He has just completed a run of 30 shows across the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain and India.

Prateek, who is set to perform at The Rotunda, Dubai on Friday, January 24 said in an interview “I couldn’t have ever hoped for a better end to 2019! It’s been such a crazy year and then the Obama playlist. Thrilled and grateful, as ever”.

Rock The Rotunda aims to bring a series of live music and comedy shows to the region in 2020. The venue is at Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai and has 360-degree views for shows. Prateek ended the decade on a high when he ended up among the best of 2019 by the US President himself, Barack Obama.

Obama tweeted saying: “From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”

His list of 35 songs included tracks from popstars and trendsetters like Beyonce, Frank Ocean, Kaytranada, Solange and the title track from Prateek’s 2018 album, cold/mess.

He also became one of Spotify India’s most-streamed artists when the service launched in 2019, and his latest EP cold/mess came out at number one. cold/mess has been streamed 3,621,169 times on Spotify and 2,849,647 times on JioSaavn while the video has been viewed 4.7 million times on YouTube.
