Introducing the Dubai artist who creates masterpieces using fingerprints

 

Lebanese expatriate has shown a lot of creativity through her fingerprints where she draws different portraits and framed artworks. In this manner, she includes one’s part and soul in each artwork she realizes thus creating a new kind of art.

In the case of the 33-year-old artist, the goal is to make contact a little more intimate, sincere and special.

“It therefore becomes easy to cultivate fingerprints because fingerprints are highly personalized – representing identity and therefore people’s history,” Ibrahim said.

“In this way, by incorporating my fingerprints into the artwork, I am establishing a component of myself within each piece, thus linking the artwork to myself. “

Creating interest from childhood Ibrahim would try out with different form of craft and move around form one design to the other.

“Ever since I was a child, it was in my nature to be creative and make something out of the ordinary from the normal objects out there,” She said.

“Normally I used to buy basic T-shirts and then take an initiative of branding them through writing my own name in embroidery or drawing. The same way I liked making glass cups and to make each cup different and unique, the extra 3d names were added. ”

Nature as influence

Ever since growing up in Zeghdraya, Lebanon, Ibrahim’s work was influenced by nature and his father’s, metal work craftsmanship. The beauty of a tree in the forest or the rounded stones, patterns of the leaves and movements of the grass blew her.

“My childhood was not immediately introduced to conventional art experiences; nevertheless, I grew with the aesthetics of nature – fields, mountains, and most of all the wind which was always blowing, strongly or gently, depending on the season The father I was close to was a man of creativity in handy craft works He used his bare hands to fashion aesthetic form from the nature abounds for our garden.”

Her art

Ibrahim got lucky and was able to find the link that may be missed by the previous officer with the use of fingerprints.

She said, “The uniqueness and the literal touch of fingertips are essentially me — connections and origins,” referring to her art.

Therefore, this kind of a narrative enables her to narrate her life history, legacy and experiences in a very special way.

She also said about the specifics of materials and methods she uses in the process of working on the project, noting that all of them are essential to her imagination and enable her to produce items that would be personally meaningful to the client.

To get the desired artwork, Ibrahim makes circles of her fingers and connects them to get marks like a chain and there is a fingerprint print in every circle.

Expressive release

The respondent said that the mere desire to paint was her motivation as named Ibrahim by the interviewer. She also said that for her it is not a job/ career just but something where she can express how she feels.

‘‘Whenever I am working I feel that it is some kind of stress relieving process for me a kind of self-actualization that is why the main feeling is very giving and fulfilling, such feeling inspires me and gives a direction to my work, “said Ibrahim.

She also stated that, her family has supported her in making sure that she has been regimental in exercising and a proper diet to achieve these objectives.

“My mother has always supported me come rain or sunshine and that has help me My husband has been my strength, source of income, motivator, and listener. ”

Future Aspirations

Pursuing a strategy of firm involvement regarding the way of widening the chance of continuous creation of ‘purposeful inspiring person art that affects,’ she described the strategies for achieving the other five intended future objectives.

“My dream is to circulate my work all around the world and inspire people It would be perfect if one of my works can be displayed in Louvre Abu Dhabi,” she continued.

In order to support her passion and works, Ibrahim’s creations are exhibited in some of the luxurious hotels in the UAE such as Atlantis, The Palm and Anantara Mina Al Arab, Ras Al Khaimah.
