His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum inaugurated the “Shuhada” mosque in Dubai’s second Muhaisnah district. Bin Juma Al Maktoum to serve the worshipers of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Street and be in place of the mosque “cemetery”, which does not accommodate the increasing numbers of worshipers.

The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Ibrahim Mohammed Boumleh, Advisor to His Highness the Ruler of Dubai for Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs, HE Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, Director General of Dubai Department of Finance and HE Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Human Resources Department of the Government of Dubai.
The mosque, which cost 18 million dirhams and has a capacity for 1,625 worshipers, was designed from the outside in the local style of the UAE. The interior was decorated in Moroccan style. The mosque contains the main chapel with 1025 worshipers and a secondary chapel that can accommodate 300 worshipers and another chapel for women, it can accommodate 300 worshipers.
The mosque also has parking lots of 95 positions inside the mosque’s borders, as well as additional outdoor parking spaces for worshipers. The mosque also includes four rooms to wash the dead for men and women, both of which are equipped with waiting rooms for the companions.
