Eid Al Adha holidays are expected of five days falling just a week before the two months summer break in the UAE schools, most likely many residents are planning for a holiday triangle. Apparently, Eid holiday could be from June 15. After a few days of the opening of working places after the break, schools start their two months’ annual summer break.

The co-founder of the online travel company, EaseMyTrip, Rikant Pittie also reported that, “This year, the sale of long-haul tickets has increased by almost 40 per cent than that of the last year In the current year, many people prefer to visit home with families and for this Eid ul Adha holidays are used along with annual leave.”

But if you are planning to travel at start of Eid break or summer holidays they will not be able to get any bargain flight tickets. Citing data from its platform, travel website Skyscanner said: “The first two weeks in July are the most popular time to start this summer vacation, however these are not the cheapest weeks to travel … It can be seen that UAE travellers can save about 11 per cent per week by travelling in the week of August 12 rather than in the week of July 8 — hence a saving of about Dh804 for a family of four.

The company said 92 per cent of UAE travellers are planning on taking a summer holiday abroad, according to its research.“However, 49 per cent of residents are yet to book their summer holiday destinations. Indecision on dates (51 per cent) and destination (35 per cent) are some of the top reasons they’ve yet to hit the book button.

In addition, data also revealed that UAE travellers are on the hunt for great value deals with 40 per cent sharing that they are still trying to find the best deal and 22 per cent waiting for a last-minute deal.

According to EaseMyTrip’s Pittie, for the Eid break, residents opt for destinations like Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan that have short flight times. “For a longer holiday, residents prefer destinations like Saudi, the US, Turkey, the UK, Bali, Hong Kong and Australia.”
