Now any resident within the country earning Dh4,000 while not accommodation or Dh3,000 with company-provided accommodation will sponsor his family within the UAE, the Federal Authority for Identity and Emiratisation proclaimed on Sunday.
The decision permits a foreigner UN agency is residing within the country, whether or not male or feminine, to bring members of the family like spouse and youngsters below the age of eighteen or single daughters, to remain within the UAE, provided the family financial gain (husband and wife) or one in all them is Dh3,000 with company provided accommodation, or Dh4,000 while not housing conditions, the authority explained.

The authority launched its services in line with the Council of Ministers’ decision No. 30 of 2019.
The UAE cabinet had earlier adopted a stand to amend provisions of the resolution on sponsoring of foreign staff to their families within the country.
According to an earlier statement by the overall Secretariat of the cabinet, the amended provisions indicate “income” as demand for sponsoring members of the family, as against the antecedently listed “professions” that allowed staff to sponsor their families.
The change is in line with international developments and accordance with best practices, it added.
“The call aims at enhancing family stability of foreign staff and social cohesion, in addition as attracting extremely complete staff whereas maintaining a healthy balance between skilled and private life,” the statement continued.
