The Emirates Motor Club, the country’s premier motorsport club, has announced the sponsorship of Nissan and Abdul Wahid Al Rostamani, a new partnership agreement under which Nissan and Al Rostamani will continue their sponsorship of the Dubai Desert Rally from the Dubai Autodrome on March 7-9.
The partnership agreement was signed by Mohamed Bin Sulayem, President of the Cars Club, with Francesca Ciudano, Regional Marketing and Communications Manager, Nissan Middle East, and Khalid Al Rostamani, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates Group.
The Nissan Patrol cars will be used by the car club team to plan the route of the rally and move the officials of the two international car associations “VIA”, and “VIM” motorcycles to and from the effectiveness.
“We are delighted to extend our sponsorship of this exciting event and look forward to seeing local drivers competing with the world’s elite at the World Cup in Dubai,” said Francisca Ciudano.
Khalid Al Rostamani said: “We are pleased to extend our sponsorship for this exciting event for the third year, especially as everyone sees the future of the rally in Dubai.”
“The Nissan and Abdul Wahid Al Rostamani Group have played a big and important role in helping us launch this rally, and we appreciate their continued cooperation and support,” said Ibn Slim, Vice President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). “There is no place for the world championships to be held better than the desert of power, and we expect strong competition this year.”
