Many expats have a “fish out of the water” experience when they move to a new place. And this is what happens expats in UAE start school hunting for their children.
Pakistanis make up one of the largest communities in UAE and with over 1.6 Million Pakistani nationals in UAE, they are the second-largest expat community. Dubai has 194 private schools following 16 curriculums and Abu Dhabi has 185, but what is the best fit your child is the main area of concern.
Clive Pierrepont, director of communications at education provider Taaleem, says research on schools is crucial. He encourages parents to consult school inspection reports from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi, the Department of Education and Knowledge.
Parents also have to keep in mind their budget and find the best fit. Though the private schools are pricier, the fee overall has dropped in 2018. Twenty-two schools froze their fees in 2018 and they will remain frozen for the coming academic year.
So here is a list of schools for Pakistani Parents who are looking to educate their child under the Pakistani National Curriculum:
OBK School is a not-for-profit organization that relies on the charitable contributions of friends of the school and the government of the UAE in order to continue providing the underserved children of the community with quality education.
