Paid Parking Adjustments

Is there any free parking during iftar? To facilitate the evening meal iftar, the Dubai paid parking schedule changes as follows:

  • Regular timings: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM all year round.
  • Ramadan timings: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and again from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • All multistory parking buildings remain 24/7 paid regardless of the time or season.

Salik Toll System Adjustments

Dubai’s Salik toll system has a variable tariff scheme during Ramadan, and the reason behind this is traffic dispersal during the fasting month.

  • Peak hours: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM: Dh6.
  • Off-peak hours: 7:00 AM-9:00 AM and 5:00 PM-2:00 AM: Dh4.
  • Sundays: Except Holidays: Dh4 all day.
  • No Charge: Between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM on all days.

School Timings

Ramadan school hours are not officially announced for the year 2025 yet, so one can only assume for months before that. KHDA last year restricted private school hours maximum to five hours daily and finished classes on every Friday at noon.

5. Grocery Shop and Mall Hours

  • Supermarkets and grocery shops: Open as usual.
  • Malls: They’ll keep their hours extended well into the night catering to Ramadan observers.

6. Restaurant Timings

Restaurants and cafes will be working in the UAE during the month of Ramadan as follows:

  • Most are closed throughout the day with a resumption following evening prayers.
