Ramadan Sale in Dubai – Up to 50 percent Discount at Major Supermarkets

The UAE’s Ministry of Economy has reduced the prices of more than 10,000 products for the holy month of Ramadan. It offers discounts up to 50 per cent in 600 outlets in the UAE.

Supermarkets and cooperatives will also reduce prices by 25 to 50 per cent. Although, there are some products that will be sold at cost price in Ramadan.

During the holy month, the prices of commodities and food items increase in the UAE but with this initiative the Ministry of Economy ensures to run a smooth action plan. The suppliers and traders have also agreed to offer discounts on the consumer goods.

Following the success of open basket campaign the authorities have decided to relaunch it again this year. The open basket will include two packages of different prices. The first package will offer 20 items price less than Dh100, while the second will also have 20 items but will be sold for less than Dh200.

The holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on May 17, however, the official date will be announced soon by the UAE’s moon-sighting committee.
