The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has announced extended hours for the metro on Sunday, November 24, 2024, to provide transportation for the participants of the Dubai Run. From 3:00 AM to 12:00 AM, Dubai Metro Red and Green Lines will be available to make their journeys convenient for the participants of the event.
The RTA has also called on the public to top up their Nol cards ahead of time, with a minimum balance of Dh15 for Nol Silver Cards and Dh30 for Nol Gold Cards for round trips, to enjoy seamless and smooth travel during their use of the metro on the day of the event.
What is Dubai Run?
Dubai Run is an annual event organized by Mai Dubai, and it marks the grand finale of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. This event encourages young and old and of different fitness levels to get out in the city and celebrate healthy and wellness activities throughout the city.
There are two scenic routes in store for participants this year the 5km run perfect for beginners and families or the challenging 10km route for the experienced runners to run the distance. The event is expected to bring families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts together in one Dubai iconic street as they exercise, inspire, and remember.
Registration for the Dubai Run is simple and free of charge. Interested participants can register through the official Dubai Fitness Challenge website or via the DFC app.
