Sharjah Ruler Allocates Dh88m in Housing Grants

The Chairman of Sharjah’s Housing Department Khalifa Al Taniji issued a statement on Sharjah’s Direct Line Arabic channel regarding the housing allotments for UAE residents of the Emirates of Sharjah.

The Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi directed the Department of Housing in Sharjah to collaborate with banks and halt monthly installments taken from Sharjah’s residents who are eligible for housing grants and whose salaries are less than Dh25,000 a month.

Housing grants were determined as Dh800,000 per citizen, Dh150,000 higher than was allowed last year at Dh650,000.
Dh156m given in total for all housing allotments and 110 people were eligible for housing loans to the tune of Dh68m.
