Intersec 2024, the world’s leading trade fair for safety, security, and fire protection, was officially opened today at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) under the theme ‘Innovating security tech for a quarter century’.
Marking its 25th anniversary, His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Border Security Council, inaugurated the event which will take place until 18 January 2024. Spanning across 13 halls, Intersec 2024 is anticipated to be the largest in its history, showcasing a 20% increase in exhibitors from the previous year. Over 1,050 exhibitors from more than 60 nations are participating, highlighting the event’s significance as a key networking hub and a showcase for cutting-edge technology in Dubai.
An airport rescue fire vehicle (ARFF), boosting exceptional firefighting capabilities, was one of the standouts exhibits on the opening day. The state-of-the-art vehicle, which is making waves in the industry with its large tank capacity and advanced firefighting technology, is equipped to handle any runway fire or emergency.
“Intersec serves as a vital hub for buyers and suppliers, attracting a wide array of users, customers, civil defence personnel, and police forces. Everyone gathers here with a shared passion for protection, seeking the latest technologies and innovations in firefighting and life-saving solutions.” Huthaifa, Sales Manager at NAFFCO stated.
NAFFCO had a comprehensive portfolio of life-saving solutions at DWTC in the Fire & Rescue section. These include state-of-the-art fire trucks, advanced fire and smoke detection technology, alarms, and cutting-edge fire systems.
During a tour of Intersec 2024, Sheikh Mansoor visited stands of several exhibitors including Microlink, SIRA, Axis Communications, Motorola, Genetec, Corodex and NAFFCO, besides the German pavilion.
