The Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has recently launched the Lebanon Education Continuity Project to support 40,000 students during the 2024-2025 academic year in light of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
This program uses interconnected digital platforms in bringing educational programs to school going children whose learning is disrupted by lack of resources and poor infrastructure.
Aside from this campaign, Sheikh Mohammed already launched emergency food aid to 250,000 people in Lebanon through the United Nations World Food Program. Individually and organizationally, all over the country’s different regions, their supporters rallied in what is said to be “UAE Stands with Lebanon” – that this is truly a nation for humanitarian activities.
The UAE reaffirms its commitment to education and humanitarian aid through such projects.
