Special Benefits for UAE Golden Visa Holders: 7 Perks for Long-Term Residents

The UAE’s Golden Visa scheme grants investors and other categories of expats permanent residence without the need to have a sponsor. Particularly targeting human capital, this approach is intended to foster the desire of talented human beings, investors, and other stakeholders in contributing positively towards the economic and cultural development of the country.

The permits for residency granted under the program are issued for either five or ten years based on the category. This allows people to work, live, invest, and even study in the UAE, all while having these privileges.

Categories Eligible for the Golden Visa:

  • Investors
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Scientists
  • Talents, Scholars, and Specialists
  • Top Students and Graduates
  • Pioneers of Humanitarian Work
  • First Line of Defence Personnel

Residency Permit Duration: Residency permits under the Golden Visa program are valid for either 5 or 10 years, depending on the category. This encourages individuals to live, work, invest, and study in the UAE while enjoying various exclusive benefits.

Multiple-Entry Visa: Those who want to get a UAE Golden Visa can receive a multi-entry visa to complete their formalities in the Emirates.

Renewable Residence Visa: The Golden Visa offers a renewable 5- or 10-year residence permit depending on one’s category.

Extended Stay Outside UAE: Golden Visa holders are allowed to be out of the UAE for over half a year without losing their residency visa while other residents are expected to come back to the country within six months. It is important to note that Golden Visa holders are not necessarily expected to have a guarantor or a sponsor within the country.

Family Residency Permits: The 10-year visa means that residence permits for relatives are also valid, namely spouses and children. The age of eligibility for sponsored children was raised to twenty-five years; sponsored unmarried daughters can be of any age. Children of determination are entitled to residence permits without considering their age.

Unlimited Support Service Workers: One of the perks of a Golden Visa holder is that they can hire an indefinite number of support service workers or house helpers.

Family Member Residency After Death: In the event of the Golden Visa holder’s death, family members can remain in the UAE for the duration of their residency permits. When the residence permit of the holder of a golden visa expires, the family members are allowed to stay until their permits expire.

They are also known as Golden Visa since their demand is increasing at a fast pace in most of the member states. The UAE Golden Visa has become increasingly popular among foreign investors, with demand continuing to rise. The program has laid out several options for those who wish to apply for a 10-year residency without a job commitment.
