TikTok ‘Cha-Cha Slide’ – The Most Dangerous Challenge

Another day, another irrational social media challenge video is stacking up millions of views. Dubbed as the ‘Cha-Cha Slide’ challenge”, a ridiculous new TikTok trend that encourages drivers to recklessly drive all over the road in time with music.

Named after the 20 or so year old soundtrack, the driver makes a turn accordingly with the lyrics like when the song goes “slide to the left”, the turn happens.

With total disregard for their own or anyone else’s life, drivers start waving the car uncontrollably left and right on the dangerous “crisscross” verse.

According to New York Post, this latest social media trend has not caused any accidents so far. TikTok warns viewers on several clips that “The action in this video could result in serious injury.”

Even with the “supposed” safety regulations that TikTok claims the social media platform practices, none of the videos have been taken down.

However, many of the videos are yet to have the warning added, despite having been up for several days. The dangerous trend comes shortly after a young driver was killed while filming a dangerous swerving video on Snapchat.
