Tourists in Dubai can get in touch with police to reclaim lost items, stay safe through 5 ways

 

Year in and year out, tens of thousands of tourists throng to the UAE because of the charms and attractions of the Emirates they are able to see a secure country. It remains to add that accidents can occur in different territories; however, the actions of the authorities do not allow this to happen, and the interests of everyone are protected.

Dubai also has a police force exclusively for tourists which is known as Dubai Tourist Police. So, it is rather easy and convenient to contact the Dubai Police, being available 24/7, and there are 5 ways for this.

  1. The most recent update on the Dubai Police Smart app now enables all global visitors to easily submit their inquiries and reports.
  2. Another way that tourists can use in getting their fines is through the official Dubai Police website.
  3. This can be done through the self-service kiosks at one of the many Smart Police Stations (SPS) that are scattered throughout Dubai and are open 24/7 with no officer interaction.
  4. The 901 call center is available for use by tourists with calls that are not of an emergency nature.
  5. The Dubai Tourist Police has an email address that is open to tourists globally; touristpolice@dubaipolice.gov.ae

In May 2024, a British tourist was out hiking in the difficult rocks of the Hatta mountains and had to be rescued by the Dubai Police. The tourist became weak and suffered from high blood pressure, and hence could not move from the spot. The police after receiving an alert on his condition found him and gave him first aid before they took him by air ambulance to the hospital.

Members of the public and Tourist, in case of the occurrence of an emergency in mountainous or valley areas, you are required to dial the emergency number 999 or use the SOS service on the Dubai Police app.

The Dubai Tourist Police noted 3,509 comments, inquiries, and suggestion on its services from the tourists this year since the beginning of the year, and it noted this after it identified 7,652 of the same from tourists in the previous year, as stated in the post on X.

Stating feedback has enhanced the guides’ role in offering police and Security Services, lost articles recovery and in ensuring that the tourists are returned to their hotels or home countries making their experience in Dubai a pleasant one, Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf Director of Tourist Police Department.
