UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) discussed with softwares like Microsoft and Apple to allow online call services through their popular apps, Skype and FaceTime.
The Director General of the TRA Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori said that the discussions aimed at providing the services in UAE and highlighted their ties with the tech softwares were strong and stable.
Apple has opened three stores in Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Abu Dhabi’s Yas mall. While, Microsoft is opening for the first time two new data centers in the country.
According to Al Mansoori, both firms are growing their investments in the UAE. The large number of subscribers in UAE are on BOTIM and C’Mefor.
