UAE Deals Hit Dh9.77 Billion at IDEX and NAVDEX 2025

The Tawazun Council, the UAE’s state body set up for managing defence procurement, announced the signing of contracts worth a total of Dh9.77 billion on the first two days of IDEX and NAVDEX 2025. These contracts were signed in the UAE and internationally, marking yet another milestone in defense and security for the nation.

The exhibitions held on the second day comprised five agreements valued at a total of Dh5.8 billion, which brings the total value of contracts thus signed to Dh9.77 billion through 18 deals. The announcements were made during a meeting attended by prominent officials, such as Majed Ahmed Al Jaberi, Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi, and Mahra Bilal Al Dhaheri, who serve as spokespersons for the Tawazun Council.

The exhibition was organized by ADNEC Group in cooperation and partnership with the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Mahra Bilal Al Dhaheri gave an idea of the local contracts, which amounted to Dh5.57 billion, the most important of which include the Dh3.76 billion contract with Calidus Aerospace to procure the HEDA Missile System (Phase 1); the Dh492 million deal with International Golden Group for ammunition procurement; and the Dh1.38 billion agreement with DTEC Industries Limited for the purchase of 50-meter marine traffic boats.

On the international side, announced by Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi were two major accreditations worth Dh213 million. The first was a contract with French company MBDA valued at Dh32 million for the supply of naval equipment for spare parts, maintenance and technical support. The second, worth Dh181 million, was awarded to Augusta Westland Aviation Services of Italy for its technical, engineering and logistics support, besides aircraft spare parts.

Majed Ahmed Al Jaberi accentuated Tawazun Council’s commitment to bringing local and global defence companies closer together. He said that IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 would be critical platforms for any showcase of top technologies and innovations. In addition, these contracts are seen to be very crucial for upgrading the defense capabilities of the UAE, increasing local manufacturing, and providing a path for sustainable development while boosting investment in advanced technologies.
