UAE Distributes 800 Ramadan Food Parcels in Pakistan’s Baluchistan Province

As a part of the UAE’s ongoing journey of philanthropy, encompassing various parts of the world, under the UAE leadership’s directives, as well as the ERC’s drive to expand its international humanitarian projects to reach the largest possible number of people and provide their basic needs, ERC distributed food parcels in Baluchistan province of Pakistan.

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) is maintaining its aid efforts as part of its Ramadan programs in Pakistan, providing constant humanitarian support to the needy, across many areas of the country. These Ramadan programs seek to help underprivileged communities meet their needs during the holy month.

The ERC’s office in Pakistan implemented a project to distribute 800 food parcels in Baluchistan province, covering the areas of Pasni, Gwadar, and Panjgur. The project aims to assuage the suffering of families in these areas who are unable to provide for themselves.

The ERC launched its seasonal Ramadan campaign under the theme ‘Ramadan Continuous Giving’ before Ramadan began. The scheme is set to help 1.8 million people in the UAE and in 44 countries across Asia, Europe and South America.

Its Ramadan Continuous Giving Campaign aims to provide millions of people with Eid clothing, Ramadan food parcels and iftar meals, Abu Dhabi Media Office said.
Rashid Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the ERC, said the campaign aims to provide support and assistance where it is most needed. He said it seeks to alleviate suffering, improve life and preserve human dignity, as well as combat poverty, hunger and diseases.

The ERC’s programmes include ‘Iftar Meals’, ‘Zakat Al Fitr’, ‘Eid Clothing’, ‘Ramadan Food Parcels’, and ‘Iftar’, adding up to an initial cost of Dhs37.6 million. The ERC has enhanced its Ramadan programs this year to mitigate the deteriorating living conditions in many countries.
