UAE leaders congratulate Modi on re-election in India

Yesterday, President Sheikh Mohamed tweeted to felicitate his ‘friend’ Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the victory in the election. The ruler also blessed him for “further leading India to progress and development“.

He anticipated the two countries’ continuing partnership and focused on the relationship between UAE and India as strategic partners. The President also used Hindi in his tweet, besides re-emphasizing the ‘progressive developmental cooperation’ between the two countries.

Other leaders who conveyed their felicitations to Modi through X include Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He also pledged support to Modi’s administration, while calling for further economic development in India. The leader also spoke about the continuation of active cooperation with the second country and the development of bilateral relations.

On Wednesday, Modi’s BJP party agreed with allies to form a government after a general election, with the coalition saying it would unanimously choose Modi as the leader.
