VFS Global launched an innovative new Visa-on-Arrival Service for UAE Residents and will also target citizens from 97 eligible countries, according to information shared on Wednesday. The service is expected to be introduced in December 2024 through their e-Visa-on-Arrival platform.
The portal allows UAE residents to apply for a visa entirely online. Travelers can submit their documents and payments on the website of VFS Global, which eliminates many bureaucratic steps associated with obtaining a visa. The cost of an e-VoA is IDR500,000, or approximately Dh 120, plus VFS Global service, IDR 230,000, or Dh 50. With the process, travelers will have a faster way into Indonesian airports through E-gates or at the immigration counters after paying the required fees for the e-VoA.
As a matter of fact, VFS Global has teamed with Emirates to also deliver an effortless e-VoA application experience for travelers across Indonesia. In this regard, it will ensure that travelers are directed to the VFS Global website to apply for their visa prior to flying.
Zubin Karkaria, CEO of VFS Global commented while emphasizing the importance of this new service portal, “This user-friendly and highly secure digital e-VoA service will considerably enhance the visa application experience, thereby facilitating an increase in tourism to the country.”
To sustain the travelers, VFS Global has designed dedicated Indonesia counters in its offices in Dubai, Mumbai, and Shanghai and will open more in the rest of the cities. The service offers multilingual support in English, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, German, and French.
For the residents of the UAE, and other eligible citizens, and enhanced tourism for Indonesia, this project greatly improves access to travel while making it easier to explore the country.
