UAE Retailers Offer Ramadan Discounts Up to 70% this Year

To grab the eyeballs of UAE shoppers for the upcoming Ramadan, retailers have created a shopping bonanza by introducing exciting sales, discounts, and offers of 70% and above. Traditionally, buyers go to buy big-ticket items in the lead-up, availing themselves of a slew of Ramadan discounts. Spending is also increased due to gatherings and celebrations marking Ramadan, which is known as the month of generosity and togetherness.

Ramadan offers have already been announced by several large retailers across the nation, including hypermarkets, home furnishing stores, electronic shops, and automobile distributors. Union Coop is a Dubai-based supermarket that has launched its Ramadan 2025 campaign with discounts of as high as 60% on more than 5,000 food and non-food items. The campaign began in February and consists of 12 promotions featuring competitively priced products and a price freeze on over 200 essential items, including rice, meat, poultry, and canned food.

Likewise, Jumbo Electronics has begun to offer a slew of deals available for Ramadan shopping. The discount applies to all categories, from electronics to home appliances, at an up-to-50% offer. According to CEO Vikas Chadha, Ramadan is an opportune time for families to upgrade their electronics and appliances. Technical enhancements, better energy efficiency, and smart features, therefore, entice many consumers to make high-value purchases during Ramadan sales.
