UAE and Pakistan have always enjoyed brotherly relations and the Pakistani diaspora in UAE has always been an integral part of the country’s economy. This year, to mark Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, a grand celebration has been planned in Dubai on August 11.
The event will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre with around 10,000 people and will include a vivacious program presenting cultural performances, musical shows, and traditional activities that depict the rich heritage and contributions of the Pakistani community to the UAE’s growth and development.
The celebration exhibits the UAE’s commitment to encouraging international cooperation, promoting tolerance, and creating a harmonious setting where diverse cultures coexist peacefully.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE, along with diplomats and important figures from the Pakistani community, will attend the occasion.
Structured by the “Emirates Loves Pakistan” page in partnership with Pakistan Association Dubai, Dubai Police, and Dubai World Trade Centre, the festivities highlight the prevailing friendship and innate ties between the UAE and Pakistan.
The UAE and Pakistan share an established relationship, fortified since the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, laid its foundation in 1971.
Today, these ties are more formidable than ever, steered by strategic partnerships and expanding economic cooperation. The UAE is Pakistan’s top trading partner and largest investor, recently committing $10 billion to promising economic sectors in Pakistan.
