An Indian lady was arrested in Narnaul’s Mahendragarh district in India when she was captured in a video thrashing her 80-year-old relative-in-law. The video has gone quickly viral on social media. Victim’s neighbor residing in Niwaz Nagar village captured the act on a mobile phone.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar delineated the incident as “deplorable and condemnable”, stating that such behavior shouldn’t be tolerated in a civilized society. Through a tweet, Khattar informed that a case has been registered and the suspect lady had been arrested.

“This is deplorable and condemnable, such behavior shouldn’t be tolerated in civilized society,” Khattar wrote.
The Chief Minister’s reaction came after a video clip from Niwaj Nagar village in Narnaul subdivision of Mahendragarh district recorded by the victim’s neighbors went quickly viral.

Kanta Devi was arrested on Saturday morning and has been charged with section 323 (punishment for voluntarily inflicting hurt) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC, the SP said.
After recording the statement of the victim, police got her medically examined, a policeman stated, adding that further investigations were underway and we will inform media time to time about that case.
