New opportunities have been introduced to the freelancer license in Abu Dhabi albeit 30 new activities, the authorities reported on Thursday.
Based on the advisory released by the Abu Dhabi Business Centre (ADBC) at the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), the activities will cover areas like:
- AI research
- Developing and manufacturing electrical and digital equipment, devices, and computers.
- Design of software for oil and natural gas field production
- Computer-associated services for data categorization and analysis
- The management of development and innovation for use in programs of computer systems.
- Models showing production by 3D imaging
- Internet participants keep on backing up service vendors
A freelancer professional License is a permit that trained, experienced, and qualified professionals avail themselves to the doorstep of organizations, institutions, companies, and personalities.
Eligibility
According to the requirements of the legislation the applicant must have experience in a certain field or industry or academic or other achievement in the field. Added has already laid down the legal provisions, work regulations, and general clauses for the freelancer professional license.

The license can also be obtained through the TAMM application.
Up to 1,013 licenses were granted in the past year for various forms of freelance operations, according to Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri, the executive director of the ADBC.
“We stay forward to further expand our endeavors in fostering a supportive and dynamic environment that will foster innovation and raise the value of our professionals to the economy to cement the stature of Abu Dhabi as a top-tier talent, business, and investment hub,” he noted.
