Dua Lipa Releases Future Nostalgia” Video Song from New Album

The English Powerhouse singer, songwriter, and model Dua Lipa, in celebration of her lucky Friday the 13th and end of the decade released another chart-smashing song, “Future Nostalgia”, the title track of her upcoming album.

In an Instagram post announcing the song, co-written with Jeff Bhasker and Clarence Coffee Jr., Lipa described it as “all playful and fun and not taking ourselves too seriously.”

Due tweeted on the release of her title track on Monday: “Tonight, on the last full moon of the decade my album title track FUTURE NOSTALGIA is outtt at MIDNIGHT on all platforms!! It’s a lil something to tie you over till the new year. I wrote this one with @JeffBhasker and Clarence Coffee Jr. one afternoon in LA…”

Dua Lipa informed her audience that the album itself is headed to a “nostalgic” direction.

“It’s very disco-orientated. I guess I got a lot of inspiration from ‘Electricity’ and ‘One Kiss’; it felt like the natural progression,” she said. “The album is really nostalgic with new sounds.”

The new song, a funky ‘80s throwback, follows up her previous single, the disco-tinged “Don’t Start Now.”

In an interview with GQ, Dua opened up on some details about the new album, “It is a pop album that you’re going to be able to dance to, but a lot of the songs are sad – they’re about heartbreak and they’re about going through some emotional manipulation.”

Thanks to the likes of tunes such as ‘Hotter Than Hell’, ‘Blow Your Mind’ and ‘New Rules’, Dua Lipa’s first self-titled album has been a worldwide success

The ‘Don’t Start Now’ singer will start the tour, kicking off at London’s O2 Arena for two shows on May 26 and 27. She will also head out on her ‘Future Nostalgia’ 2020 arena tour of the UK and Ireland.
